Alan S. Pareira serves as the Chairman of the Board for Florida Atlantic Securities. He was the Chief Executive officer of the firm from 1997-2019. Mr. Pareira has been active in the investment business since 1961. Prior to founding Florida Atlantic, he served as President of First Equity Corp of Florida from its inception in 1969 until 1993.  After the sale of First Equity in 1993, he was elected Chairman Emeritus of that firm. Mr. Pareira has been a director of several public companies, a member of the District Business Conduct Committee (Southeastern United States) of the National Association of Security Dealers as well as a founding Director of the Miami Society of Financial Analysts and a member of the Bond Club of New York.

Mr. Pareira has served as a director and on the finance committee of the Jessie Trice Community Health Center in Miami which oversees several medical centers serving the medically underserved.  He has also served as a Director and Finance Committee Chairman for Camillus House and Aspira of Florida.  He is a lifetime Director of the University of Florida Foundation and served as Chairman of the Investments Committee.

Mr. Pareira is the financial advisor to the Florida State Elks Charitable funds which support the Florida State Elks Youth Camp and Mobile Physical Therapy Services throughout Florida.  He also serves as an advisor to the Open Door Health Clinic in Miami.

At the University of Florida Mr. Pareira is a founding member of the Warrington College of Business Administration Advisory Board and an honorary member of the Florida Blue Key. Mr. Pareira sits on the Board of the University of Florida Investment Company and serves as chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Pareira received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1960 and attended New York University Graduate School of Business.  He resides in Miami with his wife Barbara. They have two adult children, Marcy and Steve.
